Jason Weismann

“Coined ‘Minnesota's answer to Michael Buble’ by WCCO, Jason offers much more!  Featuring original compositions & arrangements his approach is carefully hand crafted.  His horn passionately morphs from Lush to rapture with the unique life, only the composer could bring.  With lush vocals that whisper of Chet Baker, Jason is making a name for himself on the local and National Jazz scene.  This set of concerts are in preparation of his newest recording due out later this year.  Come hear what all the buzz is about!”

With a hat tip to the crooners now and yesteryear and an emerging voice as a sax soloist, Jason Weismann is a new voice to the Twin Cities Jazz scene.

While interjecting a good helping of musicianship back into traditional vocal crooning, and original arrangement with his instrumental work, he takes his years of traditional Jazz studies along with years as a featured soloist to the band stand.

Great care is applied with every arrangement.  He currently plays in many groups around the Twin Cities as a Solo sax player and leads a few of his own groups.  He has spent years “paying his dues” graduating from the esteemed “Berklee College of Music” in Boston Massachusetts as a Magna Cum Laude honoree.  While attending Berklee Jason was a member of Berklee’s elite vocal Jazz group, while Majoring in Saxophone performance and Film scoring.  later, he founded the well established Jaztronauts with Brother Joe Weismann.  Jason’s current projects feature some of the best Jazz musicians that Minnesota has to offer.  His roster is a virtual who’s who of fine artists in the Midwest.
