After attempting suicide, his mother sends him to a Catholic boarding school, where he manages to endure the restrictive rules only with the help of his friendship with Lorenz, a drug-addicted priest, and Marenka, a kitchen assistant. A psychological, moving portrait of a 14-year-old boy confronted with first love and death.
